Krystal is recovering well-but it will be a slow recovery. Terah has been a little under the weather as well. She has been staying with Mom while Jon is on the road. Mom has opened her own little hospital. Amanda and Aaron spent some time at Mom's today visiting Krystal. We are going to a prison this weekend, and Mom, Shellye, Kristi, Amanda, and their children are going on the road this weekend. We are trying to get the new bus ready for the new baby. We can't wait to spend the weekend with her. It's been over a year since we had a little baby. Speaking of babies- we have a new nanny at home. Her name is Holly- Zack's sister. We are really excited to have her on board!

Keep us in your prayers!

Love,
Kelly

July 29, 2005

Wow! Have we been busy! In the midst of all sorts of thing going on right now, Krystal had to have a minor sinus surgery. She didn't do as well as expected, but she is recovering. She has all of that packing in her nose, and she says it makes her feel like she's choking. Mom has been running a hospital at her house taking care of Krystal. She has also been helping Shellye with Emma and Ashleigh while Jason is on the road. I spent a lot of time this week with Mom- swimming and just spending time with her. I feel like even though I'm around her all the time, I don't get a lot of quality time with her. I like to spend time with her when she is just being a mother and a grandmother. She enjoys that too! We are on the road now- and having a great time. Has it been awhile!! Let me catch you up!!!!! On Thursday we welcomed Miss Emmaleigh Love Crabb into the world and into our family! She is precious!!! I'm sure you read all the details and saw the photo on the site! We will have new photos really soon! "Emma," her Mommy, Daddy, and Ashleigh are all doing great! They wanted to say thanks to everyone for the gifts, flowers, cards, phone calls, and prayers! Emma is adjusting well to her new house and her family. We were scheduled to sing in Virginia on the day she was born. Allison, who works in our office, is originally from the same area in Virginia- so she drove me, Adam, Aaron and Terah there as soon as Emma was born. We made it just in time for the service- but it was incredible! We were a little nervous to sing without Jason, but God never lets us down. Mom and the girls stayed at home to help out with Ashleigh and Emma. Mark Toney had us in Spartanburg, SC with Avalon! We love working with them! We also were with our friend Ricky Perkins in Pembroke and Higher Ground Baptist Church! What a great time! Terah's in-laws, Greg and Charlotte Ritchie have been visiting. We all swam at Mom's yesterday. Terah, Jon, Greg, and Charlotte spent the night with Mom. They came at just the right time- Mom had Greg doing all kinds of handy-man chores around the house! He's been around Jeff Easter far too long- he's "Mr. Fix-it!" I'm going to go now and see Emma- she makes me want another baby girl- but I'll let that phase pass!

Love,
Kelly

July 20, 2005

We are all excitedly helping Jason and Shellye prepare for the new little one. The big thing we need to do is hurry and come up with a name for her. Our family is passing around a stomach bug. When we get these bugs we tend to keep them in the family for awhile. Amanda, Kristi, Krystal, and Ashleigh have all been really sick. I think we've passed it around to everyone else, we're all just crossing our fingers that we are immuned enough to miss it. Jason and Shellye have been trying to get Ashleigh well and prepare for the new one. They are getting good practice on having two children. I know what struggles Jason and Shellye went through with their miscarriages- that it makes me so excited that God has blessed them. If anyone deserves children, it is them- they are such good parents! Please keep Shellye, the baby, Jason and Ashleigh in your prayers tomorrow during the birth of the baby and as they make the coming adjustments.

Love,
Kelly

July 19, 2005

We are busy, as always. They are going to be more involved in the business side of what we do. I think that it great- and so does Mom. We spent the rest of the day getting ready for parties. We had Edie's birthday at Krystal's house and Shellye's shower at Shellye's house. We were preparing food, getting decorations, picking up cakes, etc. There is never a dull moment with a family this size. When two-thirds of your life is spent on the road- you never take a safe trip for granted. We had a great weekend! Mom got to go with us on the road this weekend- she doesn't get to go very often, so that is always a treat! Thursday we had a great time with the folks from J & J music at a private event in Gatlinburg. Friday we were at an outdoor event with Dr. David Jeremiah. The event was great and the promoter did a fantastic job, but the weather was not quite so cooperative. It rained several different times- I mean it rained!!!! We even had to wait on the rain a few times before we could sing. There was also a horrible wind storm. There was a hotair balloon, and Jason, Hope and I took a ride. Right after we got out, we stood and watched the wind pick up the truck that was attached to the balloon and blow the balloon right into a power line. See what I mean about being thankful to make it home safe? Saturday we had a great time with Frank Arnold. We were also with the Dove Brothers and Aaron Wilburn. Mike, his brother Jeff, Jeff's wife Kim and cousin Karen sang as a group on Saturday. It was a highlight. I am so proud of my husband and his family! He is the most talented man I know! Yesterday we sang on the General Jackson- there were two sold out concerts. It was a fun day! Today we are preparing for Shellye's baby shower tonight and for Edie's birthday this evening!

Continue to keep us in your prayers!

Love,
Kelly

July 15, 2005

I thought I'd take the blog for Kelly today. They are singing in New Albany, MS at a crusade with Dr. David Jeremiah. They are really looking forward to it. We are in the process of moving our Kentucky office to Tennessee and combining the two. We always move something after CrabbFest. It's almost routine- CrabbFest and then move. I have some great news! Last night we were talking about God and about various topics. My five-year-old Cameron began asking me questions about being saved. I explained to her the plan of salvation, and she said she wanted to pray. We prayed and she accepted Jesus into her life. A child is never too young to make the decision to live for Christ. I know He has awesome plans for her life! Thanks for all the prayers for our family!

Love,
Krystal

Thursday July 14, 2005

We are still recovering from CrabbFest! We are all exhausted! It is a time of spiritual renewal and revival, but physically it is draining. We are all resting up and getting ready to go back on the road. We are singing tonight at a Private Event for J & J Music in Gatlinburg. We are really excited. Mom is going with us. Shellye had a doctor's appointment today. She was really hoping they would go ahead and induce her labor, but they told her she is not ready. I know she is not feeling the greatest. The last week of a pregnancy can be miserable- yet exciting all at the same time! She is finishing all the last minute details of the baby's room and preparing Ashleigh for her new baby sister. I don't think she knows exactly what to think. We are working on getting Hope ready for school and trying to find the best option for schooling her on the road. Say a prayer for us- it is a challenge. We want to make the best decisions for her. I hope that this finds all of you well. We are great. Aaron and his family are in the studio today. Randy Travis is recording "Through the Fire" and he wanted the Crabb Family to sing on it with him, they are very excited about it. Today is Mike Bowling's birthday!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! We won't tell how old he is, but I think you might be able to guess......the dreaded year? We will be having dinner with him tonight.

Kathy went and had a MRI yesterday and so we are waiting on the results of that. Just remember her in your prayers.

Kristi and I were up early this morning sending out invitations for Shellye's baby shower next Monday night. I went and bought all the decorations for it. I love doing things like that. We just found out today that the "little baby crabb" will be born next Thursday July 21. Please be in prayer for them - I know they are a little nervous. Eli says hello! He is so funny, he thinks he is supposed to do everything that I do! I love it! He is calling me bad girl because I took something away from him. Every time he sees Hannah and Ashleigh he says bad girl?? I am not sure where he has learned that, but we can't help but laugh at him. I love you all. Is it ever crazy! We are all making our plans to head to Owensboro for CrabbFest. We are going tonight to check into our rooms. Setup begins bright and early in the morning. Our office staff is busy as bees filling ticket orders, answering last minute questions, and getting everything together for the week. If you try calling them and do not get through, leave a voicemail and they will call you back! We had a great time Friday at TBN and yesterday at Bean Blossom. I love the 4th of July! We are looking forward to visiting with everyone this week- we always have such a great time! I will probably not be posting this week- as we will be going nonstop. I will follow up at the end of CrabbFest and post LOTS of pictures! I hope to see all of you this week!

Love,
Kelly

July 1, 2005

We are having a good day! Everyone has made it in from vacation. Jason had an incredible revival this week. I was so proud of him. He had a little of a scare, though. After Tuesday night's service, Shellye began having contractions. She had to go to the hospital in Owensboro. It was a false alarm. We are making last minute CrabbFest preparations today and then we have sound check at TBN at 3 pm. We are there tonight with Rod Parsley, Benny Hinn, and Juanita Bynum. I am really excited. We are expecting God to move and work miracles! We leave back out on the road tonight and will not be home until Tuesday. Then it's off to Owensboro for all the fun! We still have tickets- so it's not too late to make your plans to come. We got off the boat this morning. We had so much fun. I can't wait for you to see pictures. That was my favorite cruise I have ever been on!!! It was great to see so many friends and to actually have a few days to visit with them. The shopping, food, and sight-seeing were a blast, but the most incredible part of the whole cruise was the services. Those people were there to worship! How awesome that we can enjoy praising the Lord! We are flying out in the morning to a date in Pennsylvania and then flying home Sunday for the CMA Festival in Nashville. Thanks to everyone who prayed for us while we were on the cruise!

Love,
Kelly Bowling
& the entire Crabb Clan

June 9, 2005

We heard from the boat today!!!!!!!! There is always email....

We are in Nassau today and all the kids are doing the Island thing, shopping and swimming. The kids sing every night and have time for ministry, so it has been WONDERFUL. Jason did a great job with our morning devotions. We have had the typical "cruise" late nights and fun days. The grandchildren have been precious in their braids (from the native ladies in Nassau) and Eli in his sailor outfit. Logan has been a little under the weather, but seems better in the last day. Everyone has commented that the food was the BEST ever and the boat is so NICE!!! We did good I think. A big thank you to Templeton Tours for the help. We are wondering about a cruise to Hawaii in 2006....what do you think? Let me know. I am all for it. HA! I love Hawaii. The kids all say hello. I have a wonderful family and we are very close. In November of last year my dad went in for a surgery that went really well, he came home and 2 hours later was called with bad news. He had a very aggressive form of Leukemia that they caught in the labs. Without treatment we were told he only had a few weeks to live. It was all very grim. We weren't ready to let him go so we stood by his side through a long winter of high dose chemo. We watched tons of homecoming videos and listened to encouraging Southern Gospel songs. Hearing Jason sing Through the Fire with all of his heart got us through many tough days. God did show up and was with us every step of the way! In March we found out that my dad is in remission! We had so many people who were praying for our family and God blessed us with more time! Every day is a "Good Day" for us! I see my dad every day and I am so thankful for every moment. Eating lunch, watching a Cardinal game, taking him a milkshake or him fishing with my son. During those first difficult months he thought he would never make it to another Crabbfest but God had other plans! Our tickets arrived in the mail last week. We will see you all at Crabbfest!
P.S. to the Crabb family, I know you all must get very tired with all of your traveling and leaving your families. Your songs really do make a difference in peoples lives and help us through very difficult times! Satan is continually fighting us with discouragement, with fear, and with stress, but we must keep going! We had one of those days today. We started the day off just right! We were planning to leave in enough time to get to our date, but we had bus problems. We were really late leaving. We barely made the date. We also had some situations at home that really need major prayer. God has to mold us to prepare us for the future, and sometimes that is not a pleasant experience. He is always faithful to go with us and give us strength. He really does step into every day and turn it into a "good day!" We always spend the day before we leave out for a cruise, shopping for last minute necessities; rounding up documents such as Birth Certificates, Passports, etc. It is a job just arranging where we will all meet and making sure we have everyone together. We will go on the bus, and Mom, Krystal, and all the girls and babies will fly to Florida to meet up with us over the weekend. Jason is a little sad- Shellye is not going on the cruise. This makes the second time she has been expecting a baby during a cruise. We had to cancel the Jubilee at Sea few years ago because Ashleigh was due- and born- right in the middle of it! Shellye is going to spend some time with her mom and her sisters. I think they may be taking a mini-vacation; staying fairly close to home. Shellye's doctor is telling her she is measuring a little ahead of her due date, so she is afraid to risk it.

Continue to say LOTS of prayer for us!

Love,
Kelly Bowling
& the entire Crabb Family

May 31, 2005

We traveled most of the day today. Sounds kind of weird to say "Happy" on a day that we remember those gone on- but hopefully we all have fond memories. All of the pleasant memories can make it a "good day" no matter the circumstances. We are on the road, as usual. No grilling out for us- unless it's outside the bus. We are looking forward to a great night in Florida. We get to be a part of a camp meeting- that is always refreshing and reviving for us! What better way to spend a holiday? For those in our family who get to be at home- Mom, Krystal, Shellye, Amanda, and children.....today has been filled with relaxing by the pool, cooking out, etc.....Crystal Burchette from Daywind and JP and Tyanne Miller are celebrating with them as well. We have all kinds of "adopted" members in our family. Speaking of our family, please keep us in your prayers. We have been through some very trying and devastating hardships in the past month. None of knows what tomorrow holds, but there are times that it is even less certain than others. Our family has been facing one of those times. Please keep us in your prayers for direction, wisdom, and strength in the coming months. I had rehearsed to perfection with the soloist, and we were ready to go.
The Sunday night came and we were called up. First verse went perfect according to plan...and then the AC offered a huge gust...and off went my music sheet.....onto my hands. I couldn't see the music cause it had flipped upside down, and I couldn't see my hands. I didn't have time to put it back and couldn't see a way to.
All of the sudden, this peace came over me, I wasn't panicked and I completely let go. I can truthfully say God played through my hands because I don't remember playing! A lot of people in the audience later said that I was staring into space like I was seeing a vision. I could hear myself playing, but I wasn't moving my hands of my own accord.
Needless to say, God came down and it was probably the most anointed song I've ever played!
Now that's a good day!

Alana Hendrickson

May 26, 2005

We are back on the road again! We were in a revival service last night that was incredible! God really showed up and touched us all in a special way. He knows when we need that extra "boost" of strength to keep going and He is never late. He knows just what we need and when we need it. I am so glad we can trust Him to take care of us!

Today, we are going to Lorie's dad's funeral. That is not such a good day, but I know that God will comfort and sustain her. She has been so exhausted with trying to stay on the road and take care of her dad on her days off that I know she is ready to get some rest. She probably will not realize how tired she really is until the shock of everything is over. Vacations are nice, but it's also nice to go home! We are flying out this afternoon and heading straight out for the road. Any "Crabb" vacation is quite the adventure. Jason drove on a sidewalk today. There is no telling where you may end up when you put Jason behind the wheel. He was supposed to be doing a radio interview at that time. It's a good thing that the lady who was supposed to interview him was not in or someone may have not made it home alive. I'm going to be short and sweet today so that I can take in a few last minutes before we head out. We are really looking forward to visiting with everyone. Please plan now to be there! Krystal is at home keeping things going in the office. Her kids are still in school, so she couldn't get away. She'll be able to join us the next vacation! Hope is really missing Edie and Cameron. The kids loved Disney- even us big kids. I'm very thankful for your ministry and so blessed to know God is raising up young people to proclaim the Gospel with His annointing. I have 3 of your cds, Crabb fest 2004, The Walk and the live one at Brooklyn Tabernacle. They are awesome and I enjoy them so much. My husband and I are blessed with 12 children, who listen to alot of chistian music, I enjoy music that is annointed by the Holy Spririt and ministers to you, and you all have that type of ministry.Your music ministers to me personally. May the Lord bless you all abundantly. You were speaking of a "good day" and I just want to share with you a day I had. Two days after 9/11, we had our 12th child, a boy, who only lived a few days and died on Sept. 16,2001. That was an unforgettable day in our lifes. The pain is unreal, but the Lord has and is still bringing us thru the fire. He is good all the time. We are blessed with 11 healthy children, and my one and only husband and I will be celebrating 25 years of marriage next year. Our children range in age from 21years to 6 and are all homeschooled. I am so very encouaraged to see how your family works togather for the Lord. We don't have a singing ministry, but our children have an interest in music. They work faithfully helping with a childrens ministry at our church as well as working in a food bank. Our daughter was on a mission trip in Suriname, South America, and our oldest son plays drums for a band. He's been playing since he was very small. My husband is a minister and drives truck. And I do whatever is at hand, and enjoy being mom and working for Jesus. May God richly bless your ministry as you keep Him as your soul focus. Thank you for all you share. I feel I know you all already, I think mainly because we have the same Father and are brothers and sisters in Christ.

Mrs. Bonnie Ginder Lancaster, PA

May 16, 2005

Hey everyone! We are having a "good day!" We had a busy weekend- but a good one. We were in West Virginia Thursday and, believe it or not, off on Friday. We had a "good day" at home with our families! Saturday we were in Alabama. Sunday morning we flew out to Columbus to World Harvest Church. That was the experience of a lifetime! It was one of the most incredible services I have ever been a part of. We flew back to Alabama for Sunday night. Mr. Walker, our promoter at Eufaula First Assembly was so kind to pick us up at the airport. He helped to make it a "good day" for us. We had a great time at his church as well. Now, we are taking a mini-vacation in Florida. We had a few days off and decided to get a way to rest and relax. Hopefully we will have a few "good days" in the sun! I never realized the responsibility of a mother until my daughters were born. It is a full-time job for the rest of your life- but the rewards are incomparable!

I also want to say "Happy Mother's Day" to all of the Crabb Family mothers. We could not do what we do without the support of each and every one of them. First of all, my mom, is the most incredible woman I know! There are no words to say how much we all appreciate her and all that she does for us. There is, without a doubt, no way we'd be doing what we're doing without her! My sister Krystal kind of acts as "mother" to us all. She works in our office keeping the business end of things going for us. She also runs errands, does chores at our houses, helps with our kids, and even helps our parents at home on the weekends. She is a great mother to her daughters, Edie and Cameron, but also to all of us.

My brothers have married the three sweetest girls in the world. Shellye is a wonderful mother to Ashleigh and is anxiously awaiting her second little girl. Kristi is so much fun to watch with Hannah. They are already best friends! Amanda has the task of mothering a little boy. I have always believed that God chooses special women to mother little boys. Amanda does a great job! All three are so supportive of what we do. They make the sacrifice of staying at home and taking care of their children while their husbands are on the road. I know God is going to reward them.

Last but not least, my sister Terah is the sweetest little mother. She and Logan have such a special relationship. I know the struggles she faces taking a child on the road by herself. Her husband is also on the road, so they also experience the sacrifice of spending time away from one another. I know that feeling, as Mike is now working solo dates and is not on the road with the Crabb Family. Even with the struggles of life on the road with children, there is no greater joy in my life than motherhood!

Being a mother and having all of these mothers in our lives makes each and every day a "good day!"

Happy Mothers Day to our grandmothers, mothers-in-law, spiritual mothers, and anyone else who fills a mother position in our lives!

We Love You!
Kelly, Jason, Adam, Aaron, Terah and all the Crabb Clan

May 5, 2005

We are on the road. We were in Kingsport, Tennessee for a two-day conference. The Isaacs were with us last night. It was great to visit with them. We are now in Salsbury, MD. I don't want to sound boring, but there's really not all that much to talk about. We are getting ready for CrabbFest. Our office is really kicking in with promotions and working very hard to make sure things are in order.

We have had so many exciting things going on in the past few weeks. Last week, we did a crusade with Rod Parsley. It was such a great combination; we hope to work more with him in the future. We are going home after tonight's concert, but it is a long haul. We will be home sometime tomorrow and leave out sometime Saturday to go to Tallahassee. The boys will all celebrate and early Mother's Day with their wives tomorrow.

Keep us in your prayers!

Love,
Kelly Bowling
& the whole clan

May 4, 2005

As we've said so many times, even in the hard times, Jesus makes it a "good day!" Lorie Sikes, our bass player, and Mike's cousin, is going through a very difficult time right now. Lorie's father has battled cancer for the past several months. Unless God intervenes, he is in his final stages of life. Lorie is trying to make all of our dates and still be at home with him as much as she can. She is doing great at keeping up the pace, but she is exhausted. Please keep her and her entire family in your prayers.

There has also been some sort of "flu bug" that has swept through our group. Several of our "road crew" have been really sick. There is no such thing as a "sick day" with what we do. Sick or well we go on. Please pray that God will give us the strength we need to keep going. We are going to keep fighting. When you commit your life to sharing the message of Jesus, you are automatically on Satan's hate list. Our ministry has been under attack the past few days. I don't get to go places often. My wish was to be able to see the Crabb Family in person. I have watched them many times on tv and I felt a great anoiting when I watched them. Here is my "Good Day". On April 23, my cousins in Virginia took me to see the Crabb Family live in Logan, WV at the Coalfield Jamboree. I had a really great time. The anoiting was awesome in that place. I can't put in words what that meant to me getting to see them in person and talking to some of them. I thank the Lord that He made it all possible. Most of us spent a long awaited day at Mom and Dad's house playing with all the kids in the pool....thank GOD for sunshine! It has been a long winter for us. We have had a very trying weekend. Lots of "fight" from the enemy. We ask for special prayer for all of us. The devil hates us and wants to stop what we do. We have a tough week again with no time off. ....sometimes it is very hard. I am not complaining. God has been so good to me and I am blessed beyond measure. I just need a little extra strength right now. It is a "good" day!
Love you,
Kelly

April 15, 2005

We have had a crazy week. Wednesday night we were up until around 1:30 am with all the "Dove" excitement. Then, we had to be up at 4:30 to go downtowm for a morning television program. When we got home Terah and I crashed. We slept until around 3:00 pm. Mike had a solo date Thursday night, so Hope went with him. I picked Katelanne up from Heather and went home to pack. We also traded one of our cars, and I got to pick out the new car for the first time ever all by myself! I felt like I had really accomplished something! We have a busy weekend on the road, so say a prayer for us.

We have had a "Good Week!"

Love,
Kelly

Dove Awards

We are so excited....we won four Dove awards last night....we had to do a 5 AM call to do a TV show....I am going to take a nap. We are exhausted! But wow, what a week. The late night for Southern Gospel was amazing. All our friends were there....the other groups were outstanding. The most talented people on the planet are in SG! Sometimes we hear a group that no one has heard of and they are so talented that they blow us away!! That is what I love about SG....anyone with a work ethic and a little musical ability can have a shot! I think that was the message at the Doves last night. It is about great ministry songs, true anointing, and favor that only God can give. Casting Crowns (the sweetest people ever) were also big winners. I love it when God raises a ministry up!!

I thank all of you that love us and pray for us....we are unworthy of the blessings of God...but thankful and VERY excited. The neatest thing about the Doves was that we each got a Dove for producing "Driven". That was so cool....I am a "girl" producer. YAH! Actually that is pretty funny. Life is full of surprises...We want to thank all of our "team"...our office staff (Krystal, Allison, Cindy, Anetta, Shellye, Melissa), BSA, William Morris Agency, Daywind, Creative Trust, Brian Hudson, all our spouses and children, Mom and Dad......I am sleepy, if I left you out...I will get you tomorrow!

Good night, or morning.
Love you,
Kelly

April 13, 2005

"Good Day!" What busy week we have had! Monday night....National Anthem at Nashville Sounds baseball game....yesterday singing at 11:30, Opry at 7:00 and Late Night Showcase at 9:30. Today...Doves. wow! I guess you've figured out it's GMA Week. I hope a lot of you have gotten to enjoy GMA Week with us.

I am really nervous about the Doves. It is very exciting to be nominated, but there is always that scared feeling in the pit of your stomach when they announce the winner. We get so nervous for awards programs. We are also singing, which really makes me nervous. Say a prayer for us! We'll keep you posted.......

Have a "Good Day!"

Love,
Kelly Bowling
& all the Crabb Family

First Crabb Blog!

Dad sang on a Songwriter's Showcase last night. Mom spoke on a panel for a GMA Seminar last night. I am sure that was interesting. She always has LOTS to say. Most is pretty useful info. She is a wise woman! I hope I learn something from her!

Today, we have a video crew at Mom and Dad's house filming a documentary. Mom literally woke Aaron and Amanda up this morning with cameras in their faces. What a way to start the morning.
